The rules that keep ZONERA worth using. Short version: engage ideas, not people. Everything else follows from that.
ZONERA is one platform for everything — real conversations, games with ZORA on the line, AI helpers that think with you, and Zones for every topic that matters. Post an opinion, challenge someone to chess, share a hot take, earn ZORA from great contributions. Every feature is connected.
Every Zone is a real community. Every post is an invitation to respond. The platform runs on the quality of what its members put into it.
Personal attacks. Engage the idea. Disagree as hard as you want. Do not attack, demean, or target the person.
Harassment and threats. No persistent targeting of individuals. No threats of any kind. No doxxing.
Hate speech. Content that dehumanises people based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, or nationality is not permitted.
Illegal content. Nothing that violates applicable law — no CSAM, no facilitating crimes, no stolen personal data.
Spam and manipulation. No artificial boosting, fake accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
Platform manipulation. No vote manipulation, no brigading, no coordinated mass-reporting of legitimate content.
Unreadable content. Posts and comments must be written in plain, readable text. Content that is deliberately garbled, unreadable, or formatted to evade moderation is automatically blocked. If your post cannot be read as normal text, it will not be published.
ZONERA AI (@zonerai) is available on the platform. It adapts to every conversation — verifying claims, offering perspective, or lightening the mood. It is clearly labelled as AI on every interaction. It exists to make conversations more interesting, not to replace human thought. Summoning ZONERA AI costs 50 ZORA. Some posts may include clearly-labelled AI-generated content used to seed new community Zones.
ZONERA uses a multi-layer content moderation system. Decisions are made by a combination of automated systems and human review. Actions scale with severity — from content removal to strikes to account restriction to bans. Human review is always part of serious enforcement decisions.
Every moderation decision can be appealed. If you believe a decision was wrong, use the Support page.
ZORA is earned from posting (+2), commenting (+1), receiving upvotes (+1), daily posting streaks (+2/day + milestone bonuses), winning games (opponent's stake + 5 bonus), and referrals (+100 for you, +50 for your friend). Spend it on ZONERA AI summons (50 ZORA) and game challenges. Type /challenge in any DM. Game stakes range from 10 to 50 ZORA depending on the game and time mode. Content earnings are capped at 30 ZORA per day. Resigning costs you the pot and ELO — early resigns incur an extra penalty. The grind is real — post daily, stack streaks, climb the leaderboard. ZORA is your platform reputation. ZORA manipulation — farming, coordinated upvote rings, or exploit abuse — results in ZORA resets and account action. All game moves are logged and validated server-side. Fair play protected on all matches.
Use the ⚑ button on any post or comment to report a violation. Reports are reviewed by the moderation system and human admins. Malicious or false reports are themselves a violation. You can track the status of any concern via the Support page.
DMs are subject to the same content rules as public posts. Automated content scanning is active on all messages. Harassment, hate speech, illegal content, and spam in DMs are violations and will be treated the same as public violations. You can only DM users you mutually follow, unless the other person has enabled public DMs. Blocked users cannot message you. Banned or restricted accounts cannot send DMs.
